Aggreko has launched three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed specifically for remote Canadian work sites. The units are available at 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW in 600V capacities, and Aggreko says they are configured to meet and exceed local market requirements. The models will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors.

All three generators are CSA and UN31A compliant, according to Aggreko, addressing electrical and fuel regulations in Canada. The company says the units incorporate its latest generator technologies to provide reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications while matching Canadian market and regulatory requirements.

Onboard 600V output on the 1200 kW model

The largest model, rated at 1200 kW, includes onboard 600V capability. Aggreko says this eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. The direct 600V output is intended to reduce project complexity, improve cost-efficiency and minimize potential points of failure. Aggreko positions the feature as particularly relevant for large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.

Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, as well as thriving construction and data centre sectors. According to Nascimento, Canada has a clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are powerful and precisely configured, and the Canadian Tier 4 Final generators pair Aggreko technologies with hardware tailored to Canadian operating requirements.

Deployment and fleet

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are readily deployed canopy units intended for immediate energy needs, while the 1200 kW model is positioned for large industrial loads. The additions expand Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which the company says offers solutions from 25 kW to 1200 kW.

Aggreko's Canadian service centre network will support deployment. The company's energy experts will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a range of applications.

Emissions, noise and data centre use

Aggreko says all three Canadian Tier 4 Final generators provide industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels, surpassing local requirements. The company also highlights the models as well-suited to Canada's expanding data centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, Aggreko says the Tier 4 Final generators can provide off-grid energy needed to keep data centres operational in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities.
