Apollo Tyres Ltd’s board of directors has approved the company’s unaudited consolidated financial results for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, and for the first half of the fiscal year. The Gurgaon-based tyre maker reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 7,968 crores for the quarter, an increase of 17% from Rs 6,831 crores in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. For the April-to-September period, revenue rose 15% to Rs 15,366 crores from Rs 13,392 crores in the corresponding period a year earlier.

The tyre maker said its Indian operations carried strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting the effectiveness of its growth initiatives. Consolidated operating profit for the quarter was Rs 855 crores. Net profit increased 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores a year earlier. The quarterly result included an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, which was disclosed as an exceptional item. The company reported the figures on a consolidated basis.

Half-year results

At the consolidated level, Apollo Tyres reported operating profit of Rs 1,723 crores for the first half of fiscal 2026-27. Net profit for the six-month period was Rs 641 crores, compared with Rs 271 crores in the same period of the previous fiscal year. The same estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores was cited in the quarterly and half-yearly results as an exceptional item.

India growth and external pressures

Chairman Onkar Kanwar said growth across categories in India had been supported by sustained rural expansion efforts and the company’s strategic association with cricket. He added that new product launches in the Indian commercial vehicle segment had strengthened performance during the past quarter. Kanwar also said geopolitical tensions in West Asia remained a headwind, resulting in elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.

CFO transition

The board approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head, finance, and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations. More recently, he was given additional responsibility for legal. The appointment was approved alongside the financial results.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Shingari spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was partner, tax and regulatory. He is a chartered accountant with a bachelor’s degree in commerce, B.Com (H), from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. As CFO, he will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.
