Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a modular multi-function pole system that consolidates Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications and electric-vehicle charging into a single vertical structure. The company frames the relaunch as a response to public spaces that keep adding single-purpose pole-mounted sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity hardware to sites where space is already at a premium.
According to Landscape Forms, municipalities, campuses and commercial developers are looking for ways to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or additional cost — the demand the relaunched system is intended to address. The company says SHUFFLE consolidates those capabilities into one adaptable system.
Modular stacking and simplified specification
SHUFFLE stacks its components vertically, and the modular parts are designed to allow customization at installation and adaptation later as a site's requirements change. Landscape Forms said the integrated design brings modern aesthetics and efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments.
The company also said it simplified configuration through a new build feature on its website, where clients can specify preferred camera and technology brands and choose among the options offered within each.
“This is the solution site designers have been waiting for,” said Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder. Lee said the system was designed to fit busy public spaces with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve, and that safety and connectivity are integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them, keeping the system accessible and user friendly.
New plug-and-play modules
The relaunch adds feature options the company describes as plug-and-play, including:
- a 360-degree area light and a separate 180-degree area light
- a decorative light ring
- quad-view and 180-degree cameras
- motion sensors
- loudspeaker and intercom modules
Because the platform is modular, Landscape Forms says it can be configured for a range of specialized environments as well as general public space — anywhere people gather to work, travel, study or spend leisure time.
Intended settings
The company lists university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals among the settings the system targets. It cites multi-use adaptability and communication features as relevant to site managers balancing a range of site requirements.
“SHUFFLE represents exactly the kind of thinking our industry needs: technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics,” said Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms. Agustin said the features integrated into the streamlined design enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company's stated mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
The relaunch announcement did not disclose pricing, availability dates or performance data for the individual modules.
